Omega Navigation exclusive plan-filing period extended to Oct. 18

Pittsburgh, Aug. 3 - Omega Navigation Enterprises, Inc.'s exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a plan of reorganization have been extended, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Specifically, the company's exclusive plan-filing period has been extended to Oct. 18.

According to the agreed scheduling order filed with the court, the exclusive solicitation period would be extended to Dec. 18 if a plan was filed by Oct. 18.

Omega filed a plan and disclosure statement on Friday.

Omega Navigation is an Athens, Greece-based provider of marine transportation services. The company filed for bankruptcy on July 8, 2011 under Chapter 11 case number 11-35926.
