Omega Navigation exclusive filing period further extended to Aug. 3

Pittsburgh, June 19 - Omega Navigation Enterprises, Inc.'s exclusive period for filing a plan of reorganization has been extended to Aug. 3 from July 20, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

If the company files a plan by Aug. 3, its exclusive period for soliciting plan votes will be extended to Oct. 4 from Sept. 6.

As previously reported, the company and its major creditors are involved in a mediation process concerning a potential Chapter 11 plan of reorganization.

Omega Navigation is an Athens, Greece-based provider of marine transportation services. The company filed for bankruptcy on July 8, 2011 under Chapter 11 case number 11-35926.
