Omaha Public Power defeases $268.38 million electric system bonds

Madison, Wis., Jan. 7 – Omaha Public Power District gave notice that it defeased its electric system revenue bonds, 2005 series B, 2007 series A and 2008 series A, on Wednesday.

All $17.74 million of the 2005B bonds were defeased, but only portions of the 2007A and 2008A bonds, totaling $148.54 million and $102.1 million respectively, were defeased.

The 2005B bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1. The defeased 2007A bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1, 2017, and the defeased 2008A bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1, 2018.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the trustee.
