Former American Safety Razor's bankruptcy case dismissed as of June 24

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 30 - Old Razor Co., LLC's Chapter 11 case has been dismissed, effective June 24, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In November, the company completed the $301 million sale of substantially all of its assets to Energizer Holdings.

Old Razor said in its case dismissal motion that it was not aware of any remaining disputes related to the sale or to the bankruptcy cases, and there were no pending claims objections or motions on the court's docket.

Old Razor was formerly American Safety Razor Co., LLC, a Cedar Knolls, N.J.-based producer of shaving, medical and industrial blades. The company filed for bankruptcy on July 28, 2010. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-12351.
