Old Mutual Capital's $750 million perpetual preferreds to be redeemed

By Ashley Montgomery

Kansas City, Kan., Aug. 20 - Old Mutual plc will redeem all $750 million 8% guaranteed cumulative perpetual preferred securities issued by Old Mutual Capital Funding LP, according to a company filing with the London Stock Exchange.

The securities will be redeemed on Sept. 22 at the optional redemption price.

The company said the redemption will bring its total debt reduction since 2010 to £1.5 billion, the goal that the company planned to achieve by the end of 2012.

Old Mutual is a London-based financial services company.
