Old Mutual Heitman REIT Fund to transfer assets to Heitman REIT Fund

By Tali David

Minneapolis, March 1 - Old Mutual Funds II announced that the board of trustees of the Old Mutual Heitman REIT Fund approved a plan of reorganization that would transfer its assets and liabilities to the Heitman REIT Fund, according to a 497 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Heitman REIT Fund is a newly formed series portfolio of the FundVantage Trust with substantially the same objectives, investment strategies and risks as the Old Mutual Fund, and shareholders in the Old Mutual Fund would become shareholders of the FundVantage Fund.

If approved at a May 16 shareholders meeting, Old Mutual said it expects the reorganization to occur at the close of business on May 18.

Effective March 2, institutional class shares of the Old Mutual Fund will be closed to new investors through both purchase and exchange.

The investment company is located in Kansas City, Mo.
