Former Hostess sees EBITDA increase to $44.48 million in August period

New York, Sept. 26 – Old HB, Inc., formerly Hostess Brands, Inc., posted $44.48 million of EBITDA for July 27 through Aug. 23 on zero net revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Sept. 26 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company posted negative $2.61 million of EBITDA for June 29 through July 26, also on zero net revenue.

Old HB also reported an operating income of $44.13 million for the August period, jumping from an operating loss of $2.97 million in July.

The net income for August was $41.12 million, also a significant improvement from a net loss of $2.95 million in July.

The company had $28.55 million in cash as of Aug. 23, down from $29.03 million as of July 26.

Hostess Brands, an Irving, Texas-based operator of regional bakeries, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-22052.
