Former Hostess: Hackman Capital gets OK to purchase remaining assets

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 22 - Old HB, Inc., formerly Hostess Brands, Inc., was approved to sell its remaining assets, including real estate, machinery and equipment and fleet assets, to high-bidder Hackman Capital Acquisition Co., according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

As previously reported, Hackman was the stalking horse bidder for the assets, with a $58.3 million offer.

Hostess Brands, an Irving, Texas-based operator of regional bakeries, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-22052.
