Former Hostess reports $2.9 million of negative EBITDA for June period

Wilmington, Del., Aug. 2 - Old HB, Inc., formerly Hostess Brands, Inc., posted $2.9 million of negative EBITDA on zero net revenue for the period of June 2 through June 29, according to the company's monthly operating report filed Aug. 2 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Those figures compare to $1.92 million of EBITDA on net revenue of $426,000 for the period of May 5 through June 1.
Old HB also reported a $5.6 million operating loss for the June period, compared to $510,000 of operating income for the previous reporting period.
The net loss for June was $5.7 million. The company reported $406,000 in net income for the May period.
The company also reported cash on hand of $44.88 million, as of June 29, down from $52.13 million on June 1.
Hostess Brands, an Irving, Texas-based operator of regional bakeries, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-22052.
