Moody's view on Old Dominion Electric now positive

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed Old Dominion Electric Cooperative's A3 senior secured ratings and its provisional A3 rating for its shelf registration of senior secured debt.

The agency also changed the outlook to positive from stable.

"The change to a positive rating outlook takes into account ODEC's good progress in assimilating significant member load growth following the acquisition of certain utility assets from Potomac Edison Co. by two of its members effective June 2010, bolstering its liquidity profile, and sustaining sound financial performance during 2011," vice president-senior analyst Kevin Rose said in a news release.
