Former Chrysler reports $1 million December net loss; sales improve

Pittsburgh, Feb. 1 - Old Carco LLC, formerly Chrysler LLC, reported a $1 million net loss for December on negative $62 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Sunday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company posted $479 million of net income for November on negative $110 million in revenues.

The latest figures include $203 million in reorganization items, driven by a $206 million loss on the company's Fiat transaction.

The company had $146 million in cash and cash equivalents at Dec. 31, down from $265 million at the end of November.

Chrysler, an Auburn Hills, Mich.-based automotive company, filed for bankruptcy on April 30, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-50002.
