Arizona Transportation defeases Maricopa excise tax revenue bonds

Norfolk, Va., Dec. 31 – The Arizona Transportation Board defeased its transportation excise tax revenue bonds issued for the Maricopa County Regional Area Road Fund, according to multiple notices.
The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2017:
• $515,000 of 4% bonds due July 1, 2018;
• $20,485,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2018;
• $22,045,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2019;
• $23,145,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2020;
• $24.3 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2021;
• $25,515,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2022;
• $26,795,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2023;
• $28,135,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2024; and
• $29.54 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2025.
The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2019:
• $31.68 million of 5.25% bonds due July 1, 2021;
• $33,345,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2022;
• $35.01 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2023;
• $36.76 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2024; and
• $37.77 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2025.
The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2020:
• $15.37 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2024.
