Standard & Poor's said it assigned an AA+ rating and stable outlook to $145,535,000 of Ohio Public Facilities Commission's series 2008A general obligation refunding bonds, issued for Ohio.

The rating applies to $66,715,000 of higher education bonds due Aug. 1, 2016; $58.17 million of common schools bonds due Sept. 15, 2016; and $20.65 million of infrastructure improvement bonds due Aug. 1, 2012.

At the same time, S&P affirmed its AA+ underlying rating on the state's outstanding G.O. debt and its AA+ long-term rating on the commission's common schools debt.

The outlook is stable.
