Ohio Power files $750 million shelf registration for unsecured notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 25 - Ohio Power Co. filed a $750 million unsecured notes shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds will be used for funding the company's construction program and for other general corporate purposes.

The subsidiary of American Electric Power is based in Columbus, Ohio.
