Ohio Power plans to sell series S senior notes via three bookrunners

Los Angeles, May 8 – Ohio Power Co. is offering senior notes, series S, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. are the joint bookrunners.

Academy Securities, Inc. and Fifth Third Securities, Inc. are co-managers.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the trustee.

The company will use in-house counsel for legal matters, and Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP will advise the underwriters.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes relating to the company’s utility business.

The company engages in the transmission and distribution of electric power. Ohio Power is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Co., Inc., a public utility holding company based in Columbus, Ohio.
