Oglebay Norton posts $7.07 million September loss on sales of $41.91 million

Washington, Nov. 1 - Oglebay Norton Co. posted a $7.07 million loss in September on sales of $41.91 million, according to a monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Operating income for the Cleveland-based minerals company was $1.39 million.

Since filing for bankruptcy on Feb. 23, 2004, Oglebay Norton has recorded $17.02 million in losses on sales of $284.81 million with an operating income of $21.21 million.

Cash and cash equivalents for Oglebay Norton on Sept. 30 was $9.33 million.

The company's Chapter 11 case number is 04-10558.
