Moody's ups OGE Energy, Oklahoma Gas

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the senior unsecured ratings of OGE Energy Corp. to A3 from Baa1 and Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. to A1 from A2.

The outlooks are stable.

Moody's said the primary driver of the rating action was its more favorable view of the relative credit supportiveness of the U.S. regulatory environment.

OGE's A3 senior unsecured rating is based on the combined credit risk profile of Oklahoma Gas and Enable and their cash generating ability. The rating considers the predictability and consistency of cash flows derived from both regulated and unregulated business operations.
