Odyssey files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., March 13 - Odyssey Re Holdings Corp. and OdysseyRe Capital Trust I jointly filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The registration covers debt securities, common shares, preferred shares, warrants, share purchase contracts and units, along with trust preferred securities to be offered by OdysseyRe Capital Trust I and guaranteed by the parent.
The securities may be structured as convertibles.
Proceeds will be added to Odyssey's general funds and used for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
Odyssey is an insurance company based in Stamford, Conn.
