S&P raises Ocean Spray

Standard & Poor's said it raised its corporate credit rating and other ratings on Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc.

The corporate credit rating was raised to BBB+ from BBB and the preferred stock rating was raised to BBB- from BB+, the agency said, adding that all ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they were placed with positive implications on Aug. 31, 2007.

The outlook is positive.

S&P noted that the upgrade reflects the improvement in operating results and the related improvement in credit metrics, the company's renewed focus on product innovation and its efforts to enhance its distribution in the United States and internationally.
