S&P puts Ocean Spray on positive watch

Standard & Poor's said it placed its BBB corporate credit rating and other ratings on Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. on CreditWatch with positive implications.

The review will focus on the company's improved credit protection measures and on its progress in re-entering the single-serve retail market locally and abroad, the agency said. PepsiCo Inc. began in 2007 to market, bottle, and distribute single-serve Ocean Spray products in the United States and Canada, and Coca-Cola Amatil's SPC Ardmona division began distribution of Ocean Spray's products in Australia.
