OccuLogix files $30 million shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 12 - OccuLogix, Inc. filed a $30 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, depositary shares and warrants.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for research and development, to finance capital expenditures and capacity expansions and for general corporate purposes and working capital.

Boston-based OccuLogix develops ophthalmic devices to treat age-related eye diseases.
