OCA asks court to postpone final DIP hearing until April 26

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 4 - OCA, Inc. requested court approval to postpone the hearing for final approval of its debtor-in-possession financing, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The final hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, but the company said it has agreed with the DIP lenders and the official committee of unsecured creditors to continue the hearing until April 26.

Under the agreement, the committee will have until seven days before the continued hearing to file any objections.

OCA, a Metairie, La., provider of business services to orthodontic and dental practices, filed for bankruptcy on March 14. The Chapter 11 case number is 06-10179.
