OCA requests three-month exclusivity extension

Pittsburgh, Aug. 16 - OCA, Inc. requested an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan filing and solicitation periods to Dec. 8 from Sept. 10.

The company said it is requesting the extension "out of an abundance of caution," since the current exclusive periods expire just days after the Sept. 5 and Sept. 6 plan confirmation hearing dates.

OCA, a Metairie, La., provider of business services to orthodontic and dental practices, filed for bankruptcy on March 14. The Chapter 11 case number is 06-10179.
