Moody's rates Oakland, Calif., bonds A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 underlying rating to the Oakland Joint Powers Financing Authority, Calif.'s revenue refunding bonds, 2008 series A-1 and A-2.

The issue includes $110.3 million of series A-1 (tax-exempt) and $20.3 million of series A2 (federally taxable).

Sale of the bonds is expected on April 2.

Moody's also said it affirmed the A1 rating on the city's G.O. bonds.
