Nuveen Tradewinds limits ETF investment amounts to 1040 Act allowance

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Oct. 18 - Nuveen Tradewinds Value Opportunities Fund adjusted its permissible exchange-traded fund investment amounts in a 497 supplement filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund may no longer invest in the securities of ETFs in excess of the limits imposed under the 1040 Act pursuant to exemptive orders obtained by certain ETFs and their sponsors from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Other Nuveen funds are permitted to invest in excess of those limits. Those funds include Nuveen's Multi-Manager Large-Cap Value Fund, NWQ Multi-Cap Value Fund, NWQ Large-Cap Value Fund, NWQ Small/Mid-Cap Value Fund and NWQ Small-Cap Value Fund.

Nuveen Fund Advisors, Inc. is the funds' investment adviser. It is a subsidiary of Nuveen Investments, Inc., a Chicago-based investment management firm.
