Northwestern University, Ill., coordinates $585 million bond offering

New York, Oct. 17 - Northwestern University of Illinois plans to price $585 million of series 2013 taxable fixed-rate bonds, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (Aaa/AAA/AAA) will be sold through senior managers Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC. The co-managers are BofA Merrill Lynch and Loop Capital Markets LLC.

The maturities have not been set.

Proceeds will be used to finance capital projects on the university's Evanston and Chicago campuses, as well as to redeem bonds scheduled for redemption on Dec. 1, 2013.
