Moody's gives underlying A2 to Northeastern University, Mass., bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an initial A2 rating to Northeastern University's $691 million of revenue bonds issued through the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority.

The outlook is stable.

The rating applies to auction-rate mode revenue bonds, series F, H, K, L, M, N, O, P and 2001A (taxable), and fixed-rate mode revenue bonds, series G, I and 1998A.

They all carry insured ratings of Aaa based on insurance from MBIA, which is rated Aaa with a negative outlook.
