North Carolina Capital's Term Portfolio ups financial services target

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Dec. 2 - Shareholders of the North Carolina Capital Management Trust: Term Portfolio approved a change to the portfolio's investment policy and will now invest more than 25% of total assets in securities issued by the financial services industry, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Committee.

The investment strategy was approved at a shareholder meeting on Oct. 27 and took effect Nov. 1.

Previously, the fund invested up to 25% of the fund's total assets in securities issued by the finance industry.

The filing also said that the advisers are currently waiving all distribution and/or service (12b-1) fees. The waiver is voluntary and can be discontinued or modified at any time.

The fund's investment adviser is Boston-based Fidelity Management & Research Co.
