Moody's gives A2 to Carroll County, Va.

Moody's Investors Service said assigned an initial A2 issuer rating to Carroll County, Va. in connection with the New River Valley Regional Jail Authority's upcoming bond sale.

That sale has a size of $58 million, according to an April 3 release from Moody's.

The issuer rating reflects the city's implied general obligation, unlimited tax pledge.
