S&P affirms Archer Daniels

S&P said it affirmed all the ratings, including the A corporate credit rating, on Archer Daniels Midland Co.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the affirmation reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining modest leverage despite facing a significant weak industry cycle, particularly in its oilseed processing and merchandising businesses.

“In addition, the company is taking steps to improve cash flow generation while managing shareholder returns cautiously, keeping leverage within our expectations,” S&P said in a news release.
