Neuroscience acquires rights to distribute P-Stim in North America

By Elaine Rigoli

Tampa, Fla., April 18 - Neuroscience Therapy Corp. has gained the exclusive rights to the North American market to distribute its leading anti-pain product, P-Stim, a neurostimulator.

Neuroscience said P-Stim has been proven effective in Europe with no known side effects, unlike some pharmaceutical pain relievers.

"Now that we have distribution rights in North, South and Central America, we have the opportunity to greatly increase our revenues and to significantly grow our business," president Randolph A. Turpin said in a news release.

According to the National Institutes of Health, pain is the most common reason for medical appointments, nearly 40 million visits annually and costs the United States more than $10 billion each year in health care and lost productivity.

Neuroscience is located in San Dimas, Calif., and develops pain-management products.
