Neurocrine names Gorman COO, Coughlin CFO, Hawran to retire

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 19 - Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. appointed executive vice president and chief business officer Kevin C. Gorman to the position of chief operating officer, reporting to Gary Lyons, president and chief executive officer.
Paul W. Hawran, executive vice president and chief financial officer has retired from full time status at the company, but will remain in an advisory capacity through the first quarter of 2007.
Timothy P. Coughlin has been promoted from vice president and controller to vice president and chief financial officer, assuming Paul Hawran's responsibilities.
Neurocrine is a San Diego-based biopharmaceutical company.
