Brown Capital increases stake to 5.11% in NetScout

Philadelphia, Dec. 11 - Brown Capital Management, Inc. increased its investment to 5.11% in NetScout Systems, Inc. as of Nov. 30, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

That represents a passive stake of 2,009,142 shares.

Those holdings are slightly up from the passive stake of 4.81%, or 1,855,759 shares, reported on Nov. 30, 2007, according to another SC 13G/A filing.

Previously, Brown Capital Management reported the following holdings in NetScout:

• 9.33%, or 2,959,462 shares, on Dec. 31, 2006;

• 10.08%, or 3,131,912 shares, on Dec. 31, 2005;

• 14.52%, or 4,448,445 shares, on Dec. 31, 2004; and

• 15.02%, or 4,458,200 shares, on Dec. 31, 2001.

Westford, Mass.-based NetScout manufactures and sells high-speed-network products.
