NeoGenomics raises $3 million from common stock private placement

Proceeds to strengthen financial position and fund growth initiatives

Cleveland, Jan. 13 - NeoGenomics, Inc. settled a $3,002,500.50 private placement of shares on Jan. 12, according to an 8-K filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission and a company news release.

The company sold 2,001,667 shares of the company's common stock at $1.50 per share. The price was a 9.5% premium to the company's closing stock price of $1.37 on Jan. 12.

The investors include, among others, the Douglas M. VanOort Living Trust, which chief executive officer and chairman of the company's board of directors Douglas VanOort is affiliated with; the Steven and Carisa Jones Defined Benefit Pension Plan & Trust, which executive vice president of finance and director Steven Jones is affiliated with; the George A. Cardoza Family Trust, which chief financial officer George Cardoza is affiliated with; vice president of sales and marketing Mark W. Smits; and director Kevin C. Johnson.

The company plans to use the proceeds to strengthen its financial position and fund growth initiatives.

Based in Fort Myers, Fla., NeoGenomics is a cancer genetics diagnostics testing company.
