Fitch gives ArcelorMittal notes BBB

Fitch Ratings said it has assigned ArcelorMittal SA's note issues final senior unsecured ratings of BBB, adding that the aggregate amount of $2.25 billion is split into two issues: $750 million due in 2015 and $1.5 billion due in 2019.

The agency added that the ratings are in line with ArcelorMittal's long-term issuer default rating of BBB.

Fitch noted that it downgraded ArcelorMittal's long-term issuer default rating and senior unsecured ratings to BBB from BBB+ on May 20.

At the same time, the agency said it affirmed the company's short-term issuer default rating at F2 and removed all ratings from rating watch negative, reflected the significant negative impact which Fitch expects the current global recession will have on ArcelorMittal's operating performance and credit metrics.
