Relational Investors ups stake in National Semiconductor to 12.13%

Charlotte, N.C., May 8 - National Semiconductor Corp. investors led by Relational Investors, LLC purchased 3,952,800 shares of the company's stock between May 1 and May 8 priced from $26.48 to $27.35 per share, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Relational Investors beneficially owns 38,024,939 shares, or 12.13%, of the Santa Clara, Calif., semiconductor products company.
