S&P affirms National Gas Co. of Trinidad & Tobago

Standard & Poor’s said it affirmed its A- corporate credit rating on the National Gas Co. of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd. and affirmed the A- senior unsecured rating on the company’s notes.

The outlook on the corporate credit rating remains stable.

“The rating affirmation reflects NGC’s stable financial performance as a result of strong methanol and ammonia prices partially offsetting the decline in the company’s production for the last two years resulting from suppliers’ platform shutdowns for maintenance and upgrades,” said S&P credit analyst Marcela Duenas in a news release.
