S&P lifts Nashville Electric, Tenn., bonds

Standard & Poor's said it raised the rating on all parity debt of Nashville Electric Service, which is a component of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tenn., to AA+ from AA.

The outlook is stable.

At the same time, S&P said it assigned its AA+ rating to the metropolitan government's electric system revenue bonds, 2008 series A, and electric system revenue refunding bonds, 2008 series B.
