Musicland posts $4.72 million February EBITDA loss

Pittsburgh, March 24 - Musicland Holding Corp. reported a $4.72 million EBITDA loss for February on $30.13 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
In January, the company posted a $7.07 million EBITDA loss on $28.42 million in net sales.
The operating loss for February was $57.4 million, compared with a $19.59 million operating loss for January.
The February net loss was $57.4 million, compared with the January net loss of $20.61 million.
Cash on Feb. 28 was $14.72 million, up from $5.15 million at the end of January.
Musicland, a Minnetonka, Minn., specialty retailer of pre-recorded entertainment software products, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 12. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10064.
