MSRB to provide users with electronic feed for historical documents

By Ashley Montgomery

Kansas City, Kan., April 30 - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board will soon offer a new avenue to access its historical documents, including official statements, continuing disclosure data and municipal variable-rate securities information, according to a news release.

The "information products" will be available in June in the form of an electronic feed and will provide access to documents dating back to 2009. The documents are currently available through MSRB's online database, the Electronic Municipal Market Access website.

"The MSRB is providing these historical information products so that complete sets of municipal market documents and data are available in a consolidated way," MSRB executive director Lynnette Kelly said in the release.

"All the information in the historical products is available on the EMMA website; however, these new products deliver all such documents and data through an electronic feed to provide users with maximum flexibility in their use of these critical resources."
