Fitch rates Municipal Corp. of Delhi AA-(ind)

Fitch Ratings said it assigned the Municipal Corp. of Delhi a national long-term issuer rating of AA-(ind).

The outlook is stable.

The rating is indirectly linked to the credit profile of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Fitch said.

Fitch said it believes the government will improve service delivery in the city by reducing the number of authorities vested with overlapping responsibilities.
