Barclays plans accelerated return notes tied to MSCI Emerging Markets

Madison, Wis., Jan. 4 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% Accelerated Return Notes due March 2014 linked to the MSCI Emerging Markets index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus triple any index gain, up to a maximum return of 11% to 15%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the agent.
The notes will price and settle in January.
