Goldman plans five-year leveraged buffered notes tied to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, July 27 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Aug. 31, 2023 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 to 1.3 times any index gain, with the exact participation rate to be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 30% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 30%.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes will price on Aug. 28.
The Cusip number is 40055QPN6.
