GS Finance to price five-year leveraged buffered notes on MSCI EAFE

Knoxville, Tenn., April 4 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due April 7, 2023 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 145% to 150% of the index return. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index declines by 25% or less and will lose 1.3333% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 25%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.
The notes (Cusip: 40055AXD4) will price on April 5 and settle April 9.
