New Issue: RBC sells $2.71 million of leveraged buffered notes tied to MSCI EAFE

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 30 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $2.71 million of 0% leveraged buffered notes due Nov. 9, 2018 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,232.50 per $1,000 of notes.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by 12.5% or less and will lose 1.1429% for every 1% decline in the index beyond 12.5% buffer.
