Morgan Stanley plans leveraged buffered notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 1 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 23- to 26-month 0% leveraged buffered notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 160% of the gain, subject to a maximum settlement amount that is expected to be $1,266.40 to $1,313.28 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will receive par if the index declines by up to 12.5% and will lose 1.1429% for every 1% that the index may decline beyond 12.5%.
