New Issue: Scotiabank prices $16.71 million capped buffered notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Sept. 10 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $16.71 million of 0% buffered enhanced participation notes due Sept. 9, 2016 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of $1,402 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline beyond 20%.

Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
