New Issue: Scotiabank prices $3.18 million buffered enhanced participation notes tied to MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., July 3 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $3.18 million of 0% capped buffered enhanced participation notes due July 6, 2015 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of the index return, up to a maximum payment of $1,241.50 per $1,000 principal amount. Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.

Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
