Scotiabank to price capped enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

San Luis Obispo, Calif., July 2 - Bank of Nova Scotia plans to price 0% series A capped enhanced participation notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are expected to price 24 to 27 months after pricing.

If the final index level is greater than the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 400% of the index return, subject to a maximum redemption amount of $1,280 to $1,328 per $1,000 principal amount of notes. The exact maximum payout will be set at pricing.

Investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

The notes (Cusip: 064159445) are expected to price July 3 and settle July 11.
