New Issue: Scotiabank prices $6.69 million capped buffered enhanced participation notes on MSCI EAFE

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 13 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $6.69 million of 0% series A capped buffered enhanced participation notes due Nov. 14, 2014 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 125% of any index gain, up to a maximum payment of $1,160 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
